PEOPLE WOULD DO TOP JOBS FOR HALF THE CASH

This letter was a response to the revelation that the council was paying London style salaries to its top executives on the grounds that only a high end pay packet would persuade the 'best people' to stay in the area, it being necessary to pay them 'what they are worth'. It made me wonder just what is anyone worth?
