Notes - Cork Peddler/Finale

"The Cork Peddler" An old story about a visitor to the inn that used to stand at Hamer before being lost to hard times. It reminds one of how treacherous these moors can be, especially in winter.

"I came with the sea roke…" Local name for the sea fret, a dense fog, native to these moors, that drifts in suddenly and without warning from the North Sea….

"The smugglers inn at the pantiled bay…." The Dolphin, Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire. Journey's End.
